Viking Cruises Chairman Torstein Hagen reflects on the accomplishments of 2023 and what 2024 has in store. He talks about his first vacation in 25 years – a trip to Antarctica.  We will post a longer video about this trip soon.  He also talks about Viking Expeditions first Scientific Publication on a giant Phantom Jellyfish encountered by their submarine while in Antarctica.  Torstein goes on to talk about the 2023 Viking Fleet expansion; both river cruise boats and ocean vessels.  He touts Viking Cruises being named number one in River Cruises, Ocean Cruises, and Expeditions by both Condé Nast Traveler 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards and Travel + Leisure 2023 World’s Best Awards.

Looking forward to 2024, Torstein talks about the strong bookings for the year, and the fact that many of Viking Cruises’ sailings are already sold out.  He speaks of upcoming additions to the fleet in 2024.  He talks about how Viking Cruises will bring American guests back to China this year with their new coastal China voyages.  He speaks of new ships that are on order, including ships with hydrogen fuel cell propulsion.
